Pear upgrade Security Error

So I’ve installed Pear onto a Windows machine. Coming back to it a few weeks later to check it’s all working still and going to do a pear upgrade pear in the command prompt I’m greeted with an error:

C:\WINDOWS\system32>pear upgrade pear
SECURITY ERROR: Will not write to C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\pear\cache\ce
bfc2db563cacd14abbf18f437cc384rest.cacheid as it is symlinked to C:\Users\user\A

It’s a nice easy fix. Delete everything in the pear cache folder. In this instance that folder is: C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\pear\cache
